Letter from the Board of Chairman
The South Carolina Medical Malpractice Patients' Compensation Fund (PCF) was created by the South Carolina General Assembly in 1976 as a state agency to provide excess medical malpractice insurance coverage. Its highly motivated staff continues to provide excellent service and products to meet the needs of healthcare providers in our state. The PCF offers optional limits of coverage, claims-made coverage as an alternative to its traditional occurrence coverage, on-line billing and premium payments options. We remain a strong and viable choice for coverage in South Carolina.
